Mr. Taranto was well and fully slimed by fifteen students, our three retiring teachers, and a number of parents. Since everyone loved the slime so much, we are sharing the Wildcat slime recipe with you so you can have fun at home. The ingredients are very simple: white glue, water, and borax. The slime recipe we used is from About.com. |

Congratulations to MaryAnn Rounds, the new President of Alta
Vista PTA. With record turnout we hope to see this interest continue
next year as we always need interested volunteers to help out.
Mr.
Taranto will be slimed on Friday at 1:30 pm. One lucky student, maybe
some teachers, and any parent who wishes to donat e $25 to the PTA will

The Young Writers'
Conference (YWC) 10th season continues at Alta Vista Elementary School Friday,
March 28th. The Young Writers' Conference is a Los Angeles based organization
dedicated to improving young people's writing skills by first instilling a
passion for writing. The Writer's Conference was founded at Alta Vista ten years ago, and
continues as the organization's community service project. The staff
and workshop instructors donate their time and launch the theme for the
